BUDS sponsor a student's education-student details

BUDS Foundation is happy to sponsor the education of Johnson, Lavanya and Manikandan. All three of them are currently entering Std XII.We would be sponsoring till they complete graduation. They were chosen by BUDS trustees after interacting with their family and getting to know their financial instability. The students are very interested in studies but were in dire need of financial help. The details of the students are as follows:

BUDS Foundation teams

What works in an organization in reaching its goals is not an individual, but properly integrated teamwork.The same holds good for BUDS Foundation as well. As an NGO we have about 9 teams to carry out all the activities. The teams are as follows.

A brief overview of the teams:
Education team-handling special classes for students,conducting tests for sponsored students, volunteering as a scribe.
Health-Conducting awareness programs and health camps either general or eye/dental etc
Design-Brochure design,blogging, poster design etc. for promotion activities.
Awareness- Organising awareness programs related to social issues, taking part in awareness dramas and cultural activities in schools and villages.
Promotion- Distributing brochures to friends and well wishers regarding BUDS activities. helping with spreading the news about BUDS and bringing in more members so that we can reach out to more people in need.
Sponsoring-This team will either contribute funds for the sponsoring program or collect funds from a group of people and support the sponsoring program. Members can otherwise just refer contacts who are interested in sponsoring.
Fundraising-This team will raise funds for BUDS activities. AS of now only for the education of sponsored students. Handing over the receipts to sponsors is also an important work for this team.
Empowerment-Conducting self employment related programs or training programs. implementing schemes for the welfare of women and rural people.
Orphanage visits- Identifying orphanages for making visits or joining the team during visits and spending time there.

BUDS plans for the year 2011

BUDS Foundation is looking forward to contribute its best this year for education.During 2010, BUDS trustees were planning for a program wherein we could support the education of school students.After intensive planning, the program was finalised as "Sponsor a student's education". So this year we are going to bring our sponsoring plan into action. Having selected 3 students, we the members of BUDS foundation are going to financially and morally support them. Kindly check out future posts for detailed information about this program.
Also BUDS members will be organised into teams and activities for each team will be coordinated accordingly. BUDS teams will be discussed in the next post.
BUDS Foundation is planning to visit about 5 orphanages and homes for the mentally retarded and physically challenged.Anyone with an interest to join us is welcomed by BUDS.
In addition to all this we would be carrying out other activities as well. We shall disclose them later.
